Bonjour Little Fairies! For all the dreamers in the land, I’ve created for you a magical set. The best thing: it’s FREE! Back in June 2021, Simply Sewing Magazine got in touch, asking me to create a set inspired by fairy wings that I had previously shared on my Instagram. So I worked on creating an even more beautiful set, so that anyone who can sew can make their own, or give to their loved ones.

This set is made of three patterns:

• the Crown

• the Wand

• the Wings

All patterns are included in one print-at-home pdf and is built for either A4 of Letter printers. All seam allowances are included. I have also included a word-only instructions pdf, but you can find the fully-detailed tutorial on the blog.

The Crown and Wand will suit children and adults alike, no need for resizing.

The Wings come in one size and are generous: approximately 40cm tall and 60cm wide, but the elasticated straps mean that they can grow with your child. Here my daughter is 5 and a bit over 110cm tall.

Welcome the arrival of Spring with the versatile Lyra skirt. It’s an easy skirt to make but it is much more than an elasticated skirt. Lyra is built with an asymmetrical yoke which envelops the right hip and has a clever built-in bow on the left hip. The front waistband lies flat for a more couture look. Pretty ruffles on the skirt panels give volume and add a soft boho vibe to this swishy skirt.

Its curved gathers at the back and buttoned cuffs bring some beautiful details and the thin collar gives it a trendy feel. It’s curved at the hem so you can easily tuck it in but will also look great left out.

This is a great pattern for children aged 3 months to 4 years old.
